Mount Pleasant is situated in a village location and is surrounded by traditional village style properties.

The village is a designated Conservation Area and the challenge was to provide our client with an eco friendly house within a traditional form.

The house has been constructed using high quality materials; we have specified natural products such as timber windows and doors, stone sills and locally made bricks. The outer shell of the dwelling reflects the traditional vernacular surroundings but the interior provides modern energy efficiency. Heat is provided by a heat pump, solar panels provide domestic hot water, there is rainwater recycling and a heat recovery ventilation system has been installed.

As part of our package we offer a "hard landscape design service", if required, which was used in this project. The site slopes steeply away from the house and careful design was essential to ensure the garden was a useable and attractive space and could be accessed easily by our client. The garden has been broken up into a series of easily maintainable spaces leading away from the house.
